Nyjee Jefferson, 26, is accused of fatally shooting two male victims in the 200 block of West Greenwich Street around 7:10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, Reading police chief Richard Tornielli said.
The victims have been identified as José Ventura-Jiménez, 18, and a 17-year-old boy, whose name was not being released due to his age, police said.
Jefferson was arrested Sunday in Philadelphia on an unrelated parole violation warrant, according to police.
Jefferson is awaiting arraignment on charges of first-degree murder, third-degree murder, aggravated assault, firearms not to be carried without a license, and related offenses, records show.
His preliminary hearing date is pending.
